Day 01 and 02

Arrival and transfer to the Galle Face Hotel Colombo, the oldest colonial hotel in Sri Lanka. Enjoy five star comforts in the midst of colonial charm… and overlooking the Indian Ocean.

 

Day 03 and 04

Stay at a star class hotel in the deep south of Sri Lanka and experience wildlife and bird watching tours, see herds of elephants in wild, deer, sambhar, leopards and many other animals

 

Day 05

Drive up in the hills of Sri Lanka through the finest tea gardens in the world.
Overnight, stay in Nuwara Eliya, the highest point of Sri Lanka, popularly known as little England. On the way up to Nuwara Eliya and down to Kandy enjoy breathtaking sceneries, waterfalls, mist clad mountains where women are busy in tea plucking.

 

Day 06 and 07

You will be driven to Kandy, the Hill Capital of Sri Lanka, surrounded by beautiful mountains, valleys, waterfalls, rivers, nature reserves
Kandy is the principal cultural capital of Sri Lanka with a lot of living monuments such as the Temple of Tooth, one of the holiest shrines in the Buddhist world.
Among the so many beautiful places in and around Kandy are the Royal Botanic Gardens, array of Hindu and Buddhist temples, handicraft centres, brass and lacquer works.
Kandyan Cultural Show also not be missed as it offers a fine cross sectiong of up country and low country dances of Sri Lanka.

 

Day- 08

You will come back to Colombo via Pinnawala, where the famous Elephant Orphanage is located.

Departure in the night after a farewell dinner in Colombo.

Day 01 and 02

Day 02,03,04

Visit Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle supported by UNESCO
There are 05  World Heritage Sites (Sri Lanka has 07 Heritage sites) located in the Cultural Triangle. Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Dambulla Leave Colombo to Anuradhapura via Kurunegala. Anuradhapura was the first ancient capital of Sri Lanka and the hub of the civilization in Sri Lanka, founded some 6000 years ago. It was also the cradle of Buddhism, because Buddhism was first introduced to Sri Lanka in 2nd century BC in this city. Ancient Hydraulic civilization that introduced by Aryans in 5th Century BC is still existing in this part of Sri Lanka. There are cluster of historical and archaeological sites located in Anuradhapura. The tallest Buddhist stupas like Jetawanarama, Ruwanwelei Seya and Abayagiriya also located in Anuradhapura.
Branch of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, the tree under which the Lord Buddha became enlightened in India also located in Anuradhapura, which is considered to be the oldest tree in the world in recorded history. 

Polonnaruwa is the medieval capital of Sri Lanka. There are number of ancient man made tanks (reservoirs) are located in this area. World famous stone carved Buddhist and Hindu statues and monuments you could see in Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa is known as ‘poem in stone’

Dambulla and Sigiriya are the other two heritage sites. Sigiriya is a rock fortress that built by King Kassayapa in the 5th Century AD, perhaps the finest archaeological feat in this part of the world. The frescoes you fin at Sigiriya are the classics of the 5th century that resembles Ajantha and Ellora in India.

Dambulla is one of the fascinating rock temples in Sri Lanka that dated back to 2nd century BC. The rock ceiling paintings of Dambulla are considered to be the best piece of art of Sri Lanka.

 

Day 04,05 Kandy

You will be driven to Kandy ,through  the spice and herbal gardens of Sri Lanka, surrounded by beautiful mountains, valleys, waterfalls, rivers, nature reserves

Morning, Relax at Atsumi Holiday Resort
Farewell dinner and departure to the air port.

Day 01 and 02

Day 03, 04

Leave Colombo to Kitulgala, the location of famous award winning film ‘Bridge on the River Kuwai’ You could enjoy white water rafting session here approximately 3 hours.
After lunch relaxes at the hotel till 05 PM. 07.30 PM you will arrive at the foot of Adam’s Peak, the famous holy mountain located in the central hills of Sri Lanka.
Start climbing Adam’s Peak and reaches at the summit around 04 AM. Stay on the top till you see the first light of the Sun and Sun rising which is a great phenomena.

 

Day-05

Relax at a tea plantation bungalow located close to the Adam’s Peak.

 

Day-06

Reach Sinharaja Rain Forest, another World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. Sinharaja Rain forest is one the few remaining rain forests in the world.
Here, you will stay at an eco lodge located in the buffer zone of the forest and own by the community.

 

Day-07

Visit Udawalawe National park famous for herds of elephants in wild, deer, sambhar, leopards and many other animals and birds

 

Day-08

Return to Colombo via Ratnaputra, the Gem City of Sri Lanka
Overnight you will stay at Atsumi Lake Resort own by the Sri Lanka Eco Tours.

 

Day 09

Morning, Relax at Atsumi Holiday Resort
Farewell dinner and departure to the air port.
