Terms and conditions

  1. Terms of payment: When confirmed a tour package 50% advance to be paid. Balance to be settled in full 10 days before the tour starts
  2. Agreements: Once the visitor accepts our tour package, Sri Lanka Eco Tours (SLET) issues a booking form and agreement which is to be duly signed by the visitor(buyer) and the seller (SLET)
  3. If the client cancels the tour before 14 days 75% of the deposit paid will be refunded.
  4. Insurance: A travel insurance to be arranged by the client from his country of residence
  5. Safety Standards: When adventure, nature and other types of tours are conducted, standard safety regulations to be strictly observed
  6. Transportations: For all tours conduced, quality and comfortable vehicles to be deployed with competent drivers. All the vehicles are fully insured with personnel accident covers.
  7. Guide Service; The clients will be accompanied by qualified tour guides licensed and authorized by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board
  8. Pre-departure tour information will be made available to all the clients and regular tour briefing sessions will be conducted in Sri Lanka prior to the tour starts, using modern multimedia IT equipment. In-depth information on Sri Lanka and other details pertaining to the tour programme will be presented to each visitor in print and electronic media.

Exclusive Tourism packages offered for Japanese Market [Read In Japanese Language]

Palitha Gurusinghe, Chairman, Sri Lanka Eco Tours, currently working as a Consultant for the Ministry of Tourism Sri Lanka, for the Tourism Project funded by Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) One of the objectives of this project is to attract Japanese tourists to Sri Lanka.
Palitha has been a close family friend of Japanese families for more than 25 (twenty five) years.
In fact the Head Office of Sri Lanka Eco Tours is located at a lake resort named ‘Atsumi Holiday  Resort’, respectfully named after Atsumi family, based in Chiba, Japan. Incidentally, Atsumi family has named their summer resort located in Hakuba, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, as ‘Palitha Huet’ 
Goji Atsumi is a retired Manager of Chiba Swimming and Tennis Club located in Yothsukaido and his wife is a family lawyer based in Chiba. In May, 2006, they visited Sri Lanka with some of their friends belong to the ‘Story Telling Club’, based in Chiba, Japan. These Japanese friends are ardent supporters of the Community Based Tourism Projects initiated by Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation. In fact, Atsumi family raised good amount of funds among their friends to support tsunami affected children in the south coast of Sri Lanka called ‘Foster Parents Project’ (FPP)

Palitha has been a frequent visitor to Japan. In his visits he met some key Officers of the ‘Over Sixty Club’ (OSC), suggested that there are members of OSC wishes to visit Sri Lanka. Palitha has been invited to make a presentation on ‘Sri Lanka Tourism Attractions and Tour Programmes in Sri Lanka’ for OSC members. Palitha is planning to visit Japan in August with a view to enlighten OSC members on the tour programmes available in Sri Lanka enabling them to visits Sri Lanka.
