Sri Lanka Eco Tours (SLET) is a registered Company with the Registrar of Businesses in Sri Lanka, and is also registered and licensed as a Travel Agent with the Sri Lanka Tourist Board (SLTB) the main statutory body for organized tourism In Sri Lanka. SLET is a founder member of Association of Small and Medium Enterprises in Tourism Sri Lanka (ASMET) and host of other industry-related forums.
The Primary Objective of the SLET, is to promote, facilitate and carryout the business of Tourism with the special emphasis on Nature, Adventure and Ecotourism worldwide, with a special focus on Sri Lanka, South and South East Asian Region.
Sri Lanka Eco Tours (SLET) is the Travel and Tourism Arm of the Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation (SLEF), the pioneer Ecotourism Organization in Sri Lanka.

Palitha Gurusinghe is founder President of Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation (SLEF), the pioneer ecotourism organization in Sri Lanka. He is also is the founder Chairman of Sri Lanka Eco Tours. Palitha is a product of University of Ceylon, Peradeniya, Kandy, Sri Lanka, where he obtained his first degree in Economics and Post-Graduate degrees in later years. Currently he is a candidate for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Ecotourism

He started his career as a teacher in a government school and later became a lecturer in International Relations. He embarked in commercial tourism in Sri Lanka some 25 years ago and was occupied in different sectors of the industry such as a National Tourist Guide Lecturer, Marketing and Sales Executive, Hotelier, Travel Agent and Tour Operator.

He is working as a Travel and Tourism Consultant for many private, public establishment in Sri Lanka and International Organizations including Sri Lanka Tourist Board, Ministry of Tourism, Sri Lanka, Japan Bank for International Corporation (JBIC), German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) Sri Lanka, to name a few.
He is an expert of Ecotourism and working as an Advisor, Consultant and Steering Committee Member for many national and international organizations worldwide.
At present, he is the Secretary General of Association of Small and Medium Enterprises in Tourism Sri Lanka (ASMET)

Sri Lanka Eco Tours is the only tour company in Sri Lanka which supports Community Based Ecotourism Enterprises directly.
SLET is extensively linked to many reputed ecotourism business promotion organizations all over the world, through its supporting institution, Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation (SLEF) SLET also arranges tours through its UK partner – Sri Lanka Insider Tours and Istituto Cooperazione Economica Internationale (ICEI) based in Milan, Italy.

Sri Lanka Eco Tours, Sri Lanka Insider Tours- UK, and ICEI interact with local community, particularly in the Community Based Ecotourism Projects initiated by the Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation and ICEI in various parts of Sri Lanka. We take our guests to the fishing villages, age old cultural and heritage sites, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu shrines and Christian churches, old tank villages, rainforest villages in the beaten track, homes of estate plantation workers, home stays with Sri Lankan families, forest and eco-lodges, visit rural schools and support students and the local community financially and in kind. We also arrange visits to orphanages, encourage the tourists to visit local festivals and experience colorful rituals etc. We promote travel using local transports, trains and buses and other mode of traditional transports. We arrange wedding ceremonies in nature friendly atmosphere in the remote villages in Sri Lanka, for foreign visitors in observing traditional rituals and customs. We take our guests on back street tours in the busy cities of Sri Lanka giving them an opportunity to experience ‘the Sri Lankan Way of life' as much as possible.

We also arrange camping tours in all major national parks, sanctuaries and by the water falls, mountains and similar beautiful locations with community participation. Our tour groups are not larger than 10 and we maintain minimum staff not more than two or three assuring a personalized service to the tourists. Our main objective is to make Sri Lanka a premier Ecotourism Destination in the South Asia and we committed to sustainable development of tourism. Up to date. we have very successfully handled many FIT groups mainly interested in nature, adventure and ecotourism in Sri Lanka.
